He prays for God to save him. A boat goes by the house. The driver asks the man if he wants a ride -- the man responds with "No, the Lord will save me." Similarly, a rescue helicopter flies overhead. The pilot shouts to find out if the man needs saved -- the man responds with "No, the Lord will save me". The man is eventually overtaken by the flood water. When he arrives in Heaven, he asks God: "Why didn't you save me?!" God responded: "I sent you a boat and a helicopter -- what more do you want?!" Medicine, when taken properly and under expert supervision, is a similar story. Having faith that God will heal you is certainly a must, but modern medicines can certainly be an avenue for the healing! @Nancy
